Joining EAA and Chapter 512 opens your aviation experience to a whole new group of friends with like interests. We work to provide the 4F's of EAA - flying, friends, food and fun. At monthly meetings we have programs in many areas of aviation led by an interesting and knowledgeable speaker. Our summer meetings in June, July and August are potluck picnics with members and guests bringing a dish to share and the Chapter providing hot dogs and hamburgers. These are excellent family get-togethers.

As well as our twice-yearly Young Eagle rallies, we have fly-outs in the summer months to exciting destinations - like Eagle's Nest, home of Dreadnought - and in the winter months we visit a builder's hanger/workshop to learn more about the project they are building. The fall finds us involved in our annual Toy Making day where we produce 200 toy wooden airplanes that get packaged with crayons and coloring books and distributed through the Marine's Toys for Tots program to needy children in El Dorado County. Chapter 512 is also a major contributor to Placerville Airport's open houses when held in the fall. These are just a few of our many activities to get involved in.

Membership in Chapter 512 requires a membership to EAA International. Benefits of membership in Chapter 512 are as follows:

• Educational assistance from Technical and Flight Advisors
• Participation in all chapter activities
• Eligible to vote on chapter business
• Access to Members only section of our website

Dues for Chapter 512 membership are as follows (A new member is defined as a person who has not been a member of EAA Chapter 512 in the last 5 years):

• Annual dues are $40 per year. Renewing members will be charged a late fee of $5 if not paid by March 31^st.
• Dues are prorated for New Members joining after March 31st.

1. Regular (Voting) Membership
   • One who has paid annual dues to the Chapter; and
   • Is a member, or a spouse of a member, of the EAA or its successor.
   • A junior Member shall be a person under 18 years of age that meets the criteria above.
2. Lifetime Membership
   • Available to any person eligible for membership
   • Lifetime Membership requires a non-refundable one time payment of Lifetime dues
   • Must maintain membership in EAA National.
   • Shall be entitled to one vote and hold a Chapter office.
3. Associate/Introductory Membership
   • An associate/introductory membership will be limited to a 12-month period, will not be renewable and does not require membership in EAA National.
   • Associate members shall not be entitled to vote or hold a Chapter office.

Other non-voting classes of Chapter Membership include Honorary and Special Membership, which must be approved by the Board of Directors and Chapter 512 Members.
